Empire Season 7: Here’s Everything We Know About The Show’s Future

Empire entered the Fox series popular rankings in 2015. The show is more than one groundbreaking. The latest achievement is claimed to be the first black gay wedding on TV! Lucious Lyon, a hip-hop artist and CEO with a big decision to make, follows this drama. During his years of charge over Empire Entertainment, he had little trouble while keeping things underhand.

Lyon has to determine with Sharks ready to overthrow his Empire, which of his three talented sons will fill his shoes. Each of his sons comes with a warning that makes it a hard option. Yeah, and then his former wife Cookie is a woman who can shake things to get what she owes for drug-sting rap.

Will There Be An Empire Season 7?

Fox revealed that the sixth season of the music drama Empire would be the last.

“We are transforming the final season into a TV phenomenon,” said Charlie Collier, CEO of Fox Entertainment. “One of the big advantages of announcing the end season is that the fans lean towards the finale they want.”

We don’t have to wonder whether Empire will be canceled or renewed for the seventh season since the sixth season has already been confirmed. Nevertheless, networks have also been able to change their minds. Or a spin-off will possibly be produced if the ratings are high enough. After everything, Empire remained one of last year’s best shows for FOX.

Is Jussie Smollett’s Scandal Responsible For Cancellation?

There is no way fans of Empire forgot about Smollett’s insane scandal, mainly because it is still in the news. Not just fans, but also the entire world has heard about it now. One must ask whether it has affected the series or not.

It turns out that it has. The audience collapsed right after the news was published. The two episodes afterward decreased by more than 10 percent each.

As a result, Smollett has been cut off from the rest of the season. There is a possibility that the harm has been done, despite the sudden decline in viewers. Maybe they just name it to avoid cutting down on their losses and finish on a good note.
