Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is officially canceled by Netflix
The fans are not so happy with this decision of cancelling the series. The series was produced by Roberto Aguirre-Saikasa and was based on his Archie comic series. Katie Kane was removed a few days before the Sabrina news was published.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina ratings dropped!
A middle-aged witch of a teenager named Sabrina Spellman (Shipka) and the struggles she had to face within her pact and influenced the mortal world. So far, three parts (or seasons) have been released, including the 2018 Christmas special.
While Riverdale’s popularity seems to be eroding Sabrina’s chilling adventures, the series finally found its own foothold. Especially when it came to focusing on supernatural elements. Season 1 was positively received by critics and fans, but as the plot grew a bit firmer, the ratings dropped slightly over time.
It remains a surprise that Netflix ends the series exactly two years after its premiere. Aguirre-Saikasa will have a chance to tie loose ends to Sabrina’s story after the release of the last eight episodes that aired later this year.
The cancellation followed a Netflix trend!
Technically, no real reason was given to cancel Sabrina’s chilling adventures, but the decision is in line with recent trends from the broadcast veteran. Contracts and bonuses have been known to become more expensive after those milestones.
With the next eight episodes, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will end with a total of 36 episodes. There has also been speculation about the budgets surrounding the series that divides the deliveries into small ones.
Some people may be surprised that the show can be found elsewhere, but it is not based on Netflix contracts. However, it is unclear if some characters may still jump into Riverdale in the future, but time will tell.
