The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has never failed to surprise us with its warning against asteroids and comets that come very near to our planet.
In another shocking news, the experts at the U.S based space agency revealed alarming news regarding two such asteroids that are expected to come near to our planet ‘Earth’ on the 4th, 5th and 6th June.
As per the reports, one of these asteroids has been named as 2020 KN5. The scientists claim that the asteroid has a diameter of about 24-54m and is currently advancing towards our planet and would reach very close on June 4.
Another asteroid has been named as 2020 KA6. It is expected that this asteroid has a diameter of about 12-28m. As per the researchers, the asteroid would come near to our planet on June 5.
Apart from these two asteroids, there is even a larger asteroid that has a massive size. The asteroid has been named as 163348 (2002 NN4). It is expected that this asteroid is 250-570m wide in diameter. It is supposed that it would fly past through our planet on June 6.
Although all the three asteroids would be lakhs of kilometres away from our planet according to the NASA’s Centre for Near-Earth Object, all these three asteroids have been termed as potentially hazardous asteroids.
Their distance from Earth might be very large from our point of view, but in space terms, these asteroids are considered very close and their impact could lead to many severe destructions.
