The Witcher Season 2: 5 Things Known So Far

Netflix’s one of the most-watched series The Witcher has kept the viewers on the edge of their seats. Season 1 of the show released on December 20, 2019. Ever since the viewers have been waiting eagerly for the next season of the show.

Here are the five things we know so far about season 2.

1.Release Date 

Season 2 of The Witcher will be released sometime in 2024. The production of the show started in London in early 2024. Due to the ongoing COVID 19 scare all around the world, the filming of the show has been discontinued for the time being.

2.Cast

Netflix has revealed the full cast of The Witcher, Season 2. Henry Cavill as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Freya Allan as Ciri will return for season 2. Paul Bullion and  Yasen Atour will join the cast.  Mecia Simson, Thue Ersted Rasmussen, Aisha Fabienne Ross, and Agnes Bjorn are also part of the show. Many Recurring characters from season 1 will also be seen in the new season.

3.Animated Movie

The show is an adaptation of a book. Season 2 will be accompanied by an animated movie called The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. The movie will be written by Beau DeMayo. It will focus on Vesemir, Geralt’s mentor.

4.Seven Seasons?

The series could run on Netflix for a long time. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the producer of the show has many ideas for the show. Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer’s stories need to be explored. The producer has a plan of making seven seasons of the show.

5. What To Expect In Season 2?

Much is not known about season 2. Hissrich has told fans to watch out for new monsters, a new cost to magic, and new and unexpected pairings of the characters.
