Netflix renewed The Politician for season 2
More events of The Politician are already on the cards. Usually, with Netflix Originals, we have to anticipate two or three months before getting the fate of its series, but that’s not the thing with The Politician, which was given a two-season sequence.
This is unusual, but given the bidding combat that happened for the show and the story arc that was chosen, it makes sense.
Politician season 2: Release date
The Politician’s second season should come in summer 2024. In a recent interview with Ryan Murphy, who shared release dates for season 1 of Ratched and the release of the short series Hollywood, he explained that they are now looking at a July 2024 Netflix release date for season 2 of The Politician.
We were expecting the second season to keep to a rigid yearly schedule, but given how swiftly the shooting started on season 2, a quicker release date makes sense.
Production for the series started on November 5th, last year with Ben Platt posting a picture of his plaque on the gate of his adorning room.
