Famous rapper Mota Jr. who shared his billionaire lifestyle with fans online, has been found tortured to death by burglars.
David Mota, known as Mota Jr, was discovered dead after he was reported missing over two months ago.
The Portuguese artist went missing on March 15, when it is believed he was abducted outside of his family home in the city of Sintra.
The rapper’s mom, Filomena Mota, said he had accepted a phone call amid the night to go down to the door of the building.
It is believed two armed men in hoods then kidnaped him.
Filomena said she got a call from a neighbor at 2 am asking if her son was okay, and she then realized he was not in his room.
Traces Of Mota
She also said she found her son’s cap and slippers at the door to the building, as well as spatters of blood in the elevator, suspecting that Mota Jr had been kidnaped.
Filomena also told that on the night of the abduction, she answered a call made to Mota Jr’s phone, from a girl who alleged she was going to enter the building with him when instead two men pointed a gun at the young man and carried her away.
The rap artist was renowned for uploading images of gold jewelry, luxury cars, and bundles of cash on social media.
Showboating Only
Notwithstanding the bragging of a billionaire lifestyle on social media and in his music videos, it has since been reported that the rapper was not a billionaire at all.
Police believe Mota Jr was tortured by his kidnappers as they demanded data on the location of his secret wealth and luxury items.
It is affirmed that he was then murdered by his kidnappers who came back the next day when there was nothing in the house and used Mota Jr’s keys to get inside and lift the family home.
Body Found
More than two months after he was reported missing, the 28-year-old’s body was found in a forested area some 50 kilometers from his home.
His body was found on Monday. However, it took until Tuesday to recognize the body due to a high state of decay.
The country’s Judiciary Police have begun an investigation.
Police have treated the case as a possible abduction and murder since the investigation began.
The body has been taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine for examination, the results of which have not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
