The Peaky Blinders season 6 was scheduled to start in 2021, but only so because the coronavirus has created turmoil in the entertainment industry. However, we should be grateful: the original five-series aim was to track the violent actions of the Shelby Gang, so we are very fortunate to get more.
It is because, while each show managed to tie the different threads together perfectly, the cliffhanger threw a spanner into the works at the end of season 5. We know nothing about how the 6-season Peaky Blinders plot would fix Mosley’s near-miss at Tommy’s hands in an extreme right rally, but at least there seems to be a lot of time to wonder.
According to the reports, the shooting is scheduled for season 6 of the Peaky Blinders from 11 February 2020. We do learn that shooting in Liverpool and Scotland will retake the place.
Steven Knight continues to write and act for season 6 and will be pleased to see Anthony Byrne join the show for the first time in season 6.
With the show in production at the beginning of 2020, the series is not anticipated to return to the BBC until at least 2021. It has been confirmed on the official BBC podcast of the series.

The cast of season 6 includes:
- Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby
- Paul Anderson as Arthur Shelby
- Helen McCrory as Aunt Polly
- Sophie Rundle as Ada Shelby
- Ned Dennehy as Charlie Strong
- Finn Cole as Michael Gray
- Ian Peck as Curly
There are still specifics to be sought, but the five finals certainly left us with a lot of questions!
What is Tommy Shelby going to do now, and is that the end of his effort to put Oswald Mosley from within? How would the consequences be? Can Tommy face the fascist dictator openly?
Was Finn responsible for revealing knowledge of the Oswald Mosley assassination plan? What’s Billy Grade (Emmett J Scanlan) going to happen? What’s Arthur going to do now, Linda lost? Is Polly doing with Shelby Company Ltd 100%, and how would she react to her fiancé Aberama Gold’s death?
We also wonder if Steven Knight is going to take it right after the events in series five, or whether he will move on a few years before the start of series six.
The series will also have a set revision after Director Anthony Byrne has announced that a new black and golden color scheme has been revamped for the Garrison bar, the meaning tends to become apparent.
