A father molested his infant daughter and strangled her to death
According to the sources, the former army doctor was sentenced to 15 years in prison for molesting his young daughter and then killing her by tying a rope around her neck.
Charges for the crime:
Christopher Paul Conway, 25, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Friday as part of a deal to avoid trial. Conway was initially charged with two counts of first-degree murder, aggravated assault of a child, and child abuse and neglect.
The case dates back to November 14, 2017, when one of Conway’s twin daughters, Adeline, was discovered early in the morning by a mother with a dryer cord wrapped around her neck and arm.
Conway reported being on duty at 4:30 am in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he was a military doctor. His wife went to her twins’ home around 7 am for a feed when she found the baby.
The father confessed his crime but later denied
Conway confessed to police that he assaulted and killed a 9-month-old girl, and then tried to deny the confession.
A website supporting Conway’s innocence claimed that the girl had “had a dehumidifier cord wrapped around her arm and neck during the night” and that the girl had “developed fine motor skills. … … and has just started crawling and grabbing things. ”
The trial was to begin at the end of this month.
