Norman Reedus is hinting that he may return for the Death Stranding sequel.
Reedus played the title role of Sam Porter Bridges in Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding, which was released last November. The original Death Stranding was a divisive game, with individual players praising and criticizing its slow pace, its unknown history, and its demanding controls.
Originally PlayStation 4 exclusive, Death Stranding will launch for the PC in June 2024.
The PC version of Death Stranding will receive a number of bonuses, including a photo mode, which can appear in the PS4 version of the game in the update. However, the upcoming Half-Life- Alyx a Valve bond with, linking the series’ iconic helmet and other Half-Life-themed cosmetics with Death Stranding, is expected to remain PC-exclusive.
In a new video for Wired, Death Stranding star Norman Reedus dismissed speculation about a possible sequel with some harsh comments. Speaking about working with Death Stranding director Hideo Kojima, the actor mentions that the two are “in talks to do something.”

Reedus’ comments are far from confirming that Death Stranding 2 works.
For one thing, the conversations he and Kojima share cannot happen, and even if they do, Kojima has said he wants to make movies, and Reedus is natural for that project. However, this is not the first time the Death Stranding sequel is mentioned, as Kojima previously stated that he would like to work with the Reeds again and that he would like to do another Death Stranding, but noted that the game would not start without the odds. However, Kojima is also aware that he wants to return to horror games after Death Stranding, so if a sequel occurs, he may have to wait a bit.
Reedus’ derogatory comments in the interview may not be too much for him, but it’s clear that both he and Kojima will be happy to get back to working together, be it in the Death Stranding sequel or something else entirely. Given the success of his latest project, bringing the team back is the surest way to continue the winning streak that Kojima Productions started with their first game.
