CONTROVERSY REVOLVING AROUND NETFLIX’S CUTIES
As we mentioned earlier the poster of the French drama is supposedly promoting and sexualizing teens, the story of the show revolves around an 11-year-old girl who joins a dance group the makers have already come forward to say that the show tackles the issue of sexualization of young girls.
However, that being said still had people going gaga over the poster which is now removed by Netflix, Netflix in a recent tweet also apologized to all their customers about the inappropriate poster for the film.
Here is what they said in the tweet.
We're deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork that we used for Mignonnes/Cuties. It was not OK, nor was it representative of this French film which won an award at Sundance. We’ve now updated the pictures and description.

Director Maimouna Doucouré has come forward to explain the logic behind the movie, she said that Cuties is a story that aims to help young girls to show how social media makes them mimic sexual trends without them being fully aware of it.
