Claws is an American dark comedy TV show on TNT. The series was produced by Eliot Laurence and focused on the genre of crime as we see an all-female gang in a male-dominated criminal underworld. The unusual idea seems to be a juxtaposition of ‘Breaking Bad’ with the sopranos, with five easy-going bosses who prefer the path of organized crime and money laundering to support those in need.
The series was widely appreciated and praised by the public for its strong female performance. Like Ocean’s 8, Claws also has an all-female main cast and is very polite. The audacious and fresh strategy earned the show a huge supporter, and reviewers praised it.
While no official release has been confirmed, ‘Claws’ Season 4 will be released in June 2020.
The cast of season 4 will include:
- Niecy Nash as Desna Simms
- Carrie Preston as Polly Marks
- Judy Reyes as Annalise
- Karrueche Tran as Virginia Loc
- Jenn Lyon as Jennifer Husser
- Jack Kesy as Dwayne
- Kevin Rankin as Bryce Husser
- Jason Antoon as Ken Brickman
- Harold Perrineau as Dean Simms
- Dean Norris as Clay
- Jimmy Jean-Louis as Gregory Ruval
- Suleka Mathew as Arlene Branch
- Evan Daigle as Toby
‘Claws’ focuses on five ordinary women, who work in a hall and plan to engage in organized crime to relieve their miseries. Desna, Carrie, Quiet, Virginia, and Jennifer are five manicurists involved in international affairs. We accuse themselves and the government because they are unable to address social issues and, in particular, the nearby pain clinic. They want to do something about it and do exactly that.
The series is targeted at a certain amount of entertainment heading towards the ridiculous, as can be shown by the odd characters inhabiting the film. Dean Norris, known for playing Hank on Breaking Bad, who appears here as Uncle Daddy, must be made special mention here and has a larger life success. The show is a close line between the madness of the nail salon and the Dixie Mafia, and Desna’s magnificent character keeps everything in place in its middle.
