Altered Carbon: Has Netflix Dropped A Season 2 Release Date?

Altered Carbon season 1 premiered on Netflix on 2 February 2018. Lata Kalogridis created the show based on the book written by Richard K. Morgan. The first season consists of 10 episodes and generally received positive critics. Altered Carbon was renewed on 27 July 2018 for a second season.

The second season of Altered Carbon is scheduled for release on Netflix on 27 February 2024. According to sources, the second season of the show will consist of 8 episodes.

Cast Of Season 2 Of Altered Carbon

For season 2 of the show, Anthony Mackie will perform in the lead role of the show as Takeshi Kovacs. Lata Kalogridis, the showrunner, also validated that Joel Kinnaman would not be coming in season 2. But Anthony Mackie is not the only actor in the MCU that appears in The Altered Carbon season 2. Simone Missick, recognized for her performances as Detective Misty Knight and Dina Shihabi in Luke Cage of Netflix, appeared as Neda Kazemi in Daredevil are also set to join the cast of Altered Carbon season 2.

Most of the supporting cast of season 1 of the show are set to return in season 2 if the show. The returning cast members include Renee Ellis Goldsberry as Quailcrest Falconer, and Chis Conner will be playing Edgar Poe, Lila Lauren as Danica Harlan, Governor of the planet Harlan World, Toren Liebrecht will be playing as Colonel Ivan Carrera and James Sato as Yakuza Boss Tanaseda Hideki. Dichen Lachmann will not return as Reileen Kawahara in season 2 of the show.

According to sources, the storyline of Altered Carbon’s next season will center primarily on Takeshi Kovacs working to reunite with his longtime love, Quellcrist Falconer, as that hunt corresponds with his crime-solving mission regardless.
It reads as ‘Season 2 of the sophisticated and compelling sci-fi drama uncovers Takeshi Kovacs played Anthony Mackie, the lone surviving soldier of a crowd of elite interstellar warriors, proceeding his centuries-old quest to discover his lost love Quellcrist Falconer played by Renée Elise Goldsberry. After decades of planet-hopping and exploring the galaxy, Takeshi Kovacs gets himself recruited back to his home planet of Harlan’s World with the hope of finding Quell.
