The first season of A Discovery Of Witches premiered on Sky One on September 14, 2018. The show is based on the novel name All Souls, written by Deborah Harkness. Sky One renewed the show for a second and third season in November 2018. Here’s everything we know about season 2 of the show so far:

Release Date

According to sources, the second season of the show will release in 2024, but there is no official announcement of the exact release date of season 2 of the show.

Cast Of Season 2

Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode will resume playing Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont, respectively. Aiysha Hart will perform Miriam Shephard and Marcus Whitmore will perform the role of Edward Bluemel.

Lindsay Duncan will perform as Ysabeau de Clermont, Malin Buska will act as Satu Jarvinen, and Owen Teal will play Peter Knox.  Tom Huges will join the cast of A Discovery Of Witches Season 2 as Kit Marlowe (Elizabethan Era).

The first season of A Discovery Of Witches started with the magic and enchantments. The storyline revolved around Diana and Mathew. The exciting mystery all along the way revealed new truths.

Season 2 of the show might see the search for a witch to lead Diana and unveiling of Mathew’s past as an outcome. The introduction of mythical creatures like vampires and demons might drive the plot to new turns.

Filming Location Of Season 2

According to sources, the filming started in July 2019 at Gloucestershire Cathedral with the production team and cast members.

The show’s official Twitter account revealed at the end of December 2019 that the UK production was finished before filming moved on to Italy:

“Final day of the UK filming for season 2 today! We cannot wait for you to encounter the magic onscreen in 2024!”

On January 7, 2024, the same account then stated that only two weeks of filming were left of season 2:

“Here, we go again. Last two weeks filming on #ADiscoveryOfWitches, then it’s all in the can!!”
