The first season of Russian Doll premiered on Netflix on 1 February 2019. Natasha Lyonne, Amy Poehler,  Leslye Headland created the show for Netflix. The show follows Nadia Vulvokov played by Lyonne, a video game developer who frequently dies and relives the same night in a continuous-time loop and attempts to solve it, leading to her discovering Alan Zaveri in the same condition played by Charlie Barnett. There is no official announcement about the release date of season 2. According to sources, the second season of the show is expected to release in late spring 2024.

There is no official announcement about the cast members of season 2. However, we expect most of the main characters of season 1 to reprise their role in season 2 of the show. These include Natasha Lyonne as Nadia Vulvokov, Charlie Barnett as Alan Zaveri, Greta Lee as Maxine, Rebecca Henderson as Lizzy, Yul Vazquez as John Reyes, and Elizabeth Ashley as Ruth Brenner.
