Arrow: Spin-Off After Season 8? Will Stephen Amell Ever Return As Oliver Queen?

The eighth and final season of the Arrow, American television series, was premiered on The CW on October 15, 2019, and season 8 will consist of 10 episodes. The showrunners for this season are Beth Schwartz and Marc Guggenheim.

Sadly, if a show is going to kill its main characters, such as Walter White in Breaking Bad or  Tony Soprano, it will be performed in its final. However, in the episode of Crisis Arrow on Infinite Earth Cross, the show decided to kill Oliver Queen which is played by Stephen Amell, for an excellent performance this time, after reviving him as Spector at the start of the episode.

Amell Tweet Saying Good Time To Escape

Amell writes on twitter saying to the fans about the death of his character that ‘Season 8 and an entire universe looks like a good time to escape. What a ride.’

Positively, Queen Oliver will be able to return for the final episode of season 8 Death Arrow. ‘He’s dead right now,’ Beth Schwartz, Arrow’s showrunner, confirmed.

However, this statement raises the question of what exactly will appear in the remaining two episodes of Arrow when the titular character died to defeat Anti-Monitor (LaMonica Garrett). Luckily, Schwartz confirmed that Amell would return in one of the remaining episodes of season 8. He said that ‘That would be at the end of the series.’

How Exactly Will He Reappear

He indicated that the episode would feature flashbacks of the times before Oliver died, showing not only Amell but several other cast members who arrived and left The CW. show.

The Arrow episode 9 of Season 8 will be a backdoor pilot for a possible show called Green Arrow and The Canaries, which will be released in the year 2040 with Mia Smoak acted by Katherine McNamara Established with Green Arrow.

The synopsis of this episode says as In the year 2040, Mia Queen has everything she always desired until Laurel and Dina suddenly came in their lives and things become an unexpected story.’

Schwartz stated about the possible spin-off as ‘I guess it’s a way to honor Oliver’s legacy because it’s his son and the women who fight with him. But with Arrow himself, he will have his new spin to disarm him.’
