Its is Really Happening Painkiller is all set to head towards Streaming Gaint Netflix!!!
The streaming service has already ordered a more limited series for the attractive line. As our sources reported that, Painkiller will officially move to Netflix from the producer, Eric Newman.
What is the scheduled release date for Netflix Painkiller?
There is no set premiere date for the series yet, but eight episodes are expected to premiere sometime in 2024. Meanwhile, Newman’s other show, Narcos: Mexico, debuted its second season earlier this month, and currently, it is not known if it will be renewed.
Netflix has promised that the show will provide an in-depth “powerful look” at the opioid crisis currently hurting America. There is no set release date for the series yet, but eight episodes are expected to premiere sometime in 2024. Hope for the best and an early primer of Painkiller.
Who all would be in the crew member for the Show:-
Newman, the producer of the popular Netflix series Narcos and Narcos: Mexico, already gives the show plenty of clues. Netflix has also encouraged Peter Berg (The Leftovers and Friday Night Lights) to act as a director for eight episodes. Meanwhile, Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noa Harpster are ready to write the show. Kitzman-Blue, Harpster, and Newman will also serve as executive producers on the show. Alex Gibney Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belie is also on board as executive producer.
According to sources, Painkillers, The New Yorker, and Barry Meier novels Penn Killer: An Empire of Deceit and the Origin of America, an Opioid Epidemic article, inspired by Patrick Redden Keefe’s “The Empire of Pain Family”. Both authors will also act as consultants on a limited series. Netflix has promised that the show will provide an in-depth “powerful look” at the opioid crisis currently harming America.
