A New York-based woman is accused of giving false information to the police department
The Manhattan district attorney’s office said a New York resident was arrested in a police-related film about an African American bird watcher in Central Park accused of providing false news.
According to the statement, Amy Cooper was sent a ticket to be present in the court on October 14 on crime accused of pseudo reporting of a third-degree accident.
Video footage revealed the whole incidence
Christian Cooper, a member of the New York City Audubon Association, was in the Ramble section of the park, where dogs must be on a leash when they meet Amy Cooper (unrelated) and her dog is off the leash on May 25: Christian Cooper said he confronted the woman had limited her dog and refused, as previously reported by the sources.
In her Facebook video, Amy Cooper shouted that she was calling the police, and “I will tell them that an African American man is threatening my life.”

Amy apologized to the crowd for misleading the police
Shortly after the accident, Amy Cooper apologized to a public relations firm saying that “she responded emotionally and made false assumptions about her intentions.”
Christian Cooper said in The View that he accepts the apology but believes that “he has to think a little bit about what happened.”
