When is season 2 Homecoming on Amazon?
Amazon has yet to reveal a broadcast date for the second series of Homecoming, which was originally ordered for two seasons. We will update this page as soon as more information is announced.
The cast of Homecoming Season 2?
In January, it was announced that Julia Roberts would not be reborn in her role for series two of Homecoming.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, series leader Roberts Birdman marked his first regular part in the television series, but the actress only signed a one-year contract to act on the show.
However, Roberts would remain on board as executive producer.
As mystical as the second series’ program description is, it is currently unknown whether the rest of the cast will return, including Walter as Stephen James, Heidi’s boss, Colin Belfast as Bobby Cannavale, Shia Washam as Thomas Carrasco from Thomas Carrasco’s department. Raksha, Alex Karpowski as a staff member for Homecoming Craig, Sissy Spacek as Heidi’s mother, Ellen Bergman, Marianne Jean-Baptiste as Walter’s mother, Gloria Cruz, Dermot Mulroney as Heidi’s on-off boyfriend Anthony, Hong Chau as Geist employee Audrey Temple and Jeremy Allen White as veteran Shrier.
What happened in season 1 Homecoming?
The psychological thriller, based on the podcast of the same name, tells the story of Heidi Bergman, a private counselor for the return of war veterans who are befriended by an attractive young soldier, Walter Cruz.
Over the course of the series, we discovered that the homecoming facility is not really helping the soldiers, it is being run by a suspicious drug agency called Gist that is pumping them with a drug that can cause PTSD. He claims to heal, but is actually erasing his memories so that the government cannot reprogram them.
Heidi, realizing the true evil of the corporation for which she was incited to work, takes the drug to destroy any memory of working there. It also increases Walter’s dose so that he is not fit enough to go out and fight, but then he disappears.
Years later, Thomas Carrasco from the Department of Defense begins to investigate the case and Heidi can relive her memories, traveling to see Walter only to discover that he has completely forgotten him.
What’s going to happen in season 2 Homecoming?
For now, the details of any storyline are being finalized, and the TV show has already deviated from the original podcast story, so we can’t really refer to it for information.
But we can certainly guess what we can expect from the second season without Heidi Bergman …

Homecoming’s first incarnation was in the form of a scripted podcast series written by Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg, who adapted it for the small screen with director Sam Ismail.
It had a voice cast of Super Stars, with Heidi Bergman as Catherine Keener, Oscar Isaac as Walter Cruz, and David Schwimmer as Colin Belfast.
