A Son Stabbed His Father To Death During A Zoom Meeting

Coronavirus boosts the usage of video calling apps so amazingly, every conference and crucial meetings, apps like Zoom came like a lifesaver. But sometimes these video apps could work as a potential piece of evidence.

A Long Island father was stabbed by his son during a Zoom chat with several people Thursday, Suffolk County Police declared.

Dwight Powers was on the call when his son, Thomas Scully-Powers, stabbed him. in Amityville, police said. After the brutality, Several members of the video chat called 911 after the incident, police added.

Escape Route

Scully-Powers, 32, escaped the scene and was detained about an hour later and charged with murder in the second degree, according to a police statement.

He will be moved to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries he got from jumping out of a window, police said.

Police are not releasing further information about the incident at this time.
