Officers discovered 7 people dead in a house
California authorities are investigating after seven people were reportedly found shot dead in a home where an illegal narcotics cultivation operation was underway.
The injured woman was pronounced dead in the hospital
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release that shortly after midnight on Monday, officers reacted to reports of a lethal gun attack on the Moreno Valley residence. There, they reportedly found six people killed with gunshot wounds; the woman, who was also affected, was pronounced dead in hospital.
Officers found narcotics in a big amount from the house
Investigations reportedly revealed that the house where the deadly shooting took place was a site for illegal narcotics cultivation. Police said multiple hundred marijuana plants and over 1,000 pounds of marijuana were discovered in the home.
The victims are not identified yet
Authorities have not yet named the seven victims of the shooting. While police said investigations are still on, they noticed that the incident is isolated and poses no threat to society.
The cause of the shooting is yet to be disclosed. The investigators are in search of the suspects.
