The director takes all the elements we expect in a Scorsese gangster film with this cast. Then he tears it all down, turning this story of turf wars, union battles and power conflicts into a chamber piece of quiet discussions and moral purpose.
Marriage Story (2019)
Marriage Story is directed, produced and directed by Noah Baumbach. The movie follows the life of a married couple going through a coast-to-coast divorce. The movie star Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver in the lead role. This movie will be a great film to watch over the weekend.
Indiana Jones: The Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981)
Indiana Jones franchise has been a fan favourite for years. The first movie of the franchise, Indiana Jones and The Raiders of The Lost Ark (1981), remains the best of all. The film is set in the 1930s, and the movie follows Indiana Jones played by Harrison Ford, a professor of archaeology who moonlights as an explorer, exploring ancient ruins and raiding their treasures in the name of science. When he discovers that Nazis are investigating the legendary Ark of the Covenant, Jones and his past lover Marion Ravenwood played by Karen Allen went to Egypt to discover the Ark first. Watch the movie over the weekend and enjoy it.
Zodiac (2007)
The 2007 movie, Zodiac, directed by David Fincher, is also a movie that you can enjoy in the weekend. The movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo. The story of the movie is searching for the Zodiac Killer, a serial killer who terrorized the San Francisco Bay region during the late 1960s and early 1970s, mocking police with letters, bloodstained clothing, and cyphers mailed to newspapers. The case continues one of the United States’ most infamous unsolved offences. The movie is a tense, gripping thriller, with excellent direction from Fincher.
Klaus (2019)
Klaus is Netflix first animated feature movie. The movie was a huge success and also earned an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature. Sergio Pablos write and directed the film. The film is an origin story of Santa Claus, distinct from the historical take of Saint Nichols of Myra. In the film, a selfish young postman is consigned to a remote Scandinavian town, where his strange friendship with a recluse guides to the creation of the great toymaker. Klaus is a beautifully animated narrative that goes beyond just a Christmas movie. You can enjoy the movie on Netflix over the weekend.
