The suspect who stabbed two men to death on Saturday outside a bar has been arrested northwest of Nashville. Among the two dead, one is the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers player C.J. Beathard.
Metro Nashville Police announced on Twitter that 23-year-old Michael D. Mosley was arrested in a vacant house in Cheatham County. He was alone at home when arrested.
Police said that the 23-year-old charged with one count of attempted criminal homicide and two counts of illegal murder.
22-year-old Clayton Beathard and 21-year-old Paul Trapeni III were stabbed during a fight on Saturday outside the Dogwood Bar.
Police spokesman Don Aaron stated on Monday that the investigation shows Mosley made unwanted approaches toward a woman who was a friend of the victims.
A verbal argument happened inside the bar, which started to physical fight outside the bar, Aaron stated. It seems Mosley, armed with a sharp thing, stabbed the victims, he said.
Police said that the two victims were stabbed in their sides and hurried to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they pronounced died. Post-mortems revealed the men died of stab injuries, Aaron said.
According to a news release from the Nashville police, a 21-year-old man was also stabbed. Heis at a hospital with injuries to his eye and arm. His status has not released.
Police stated that Mosley was among the four people wanted for interrogation in surveillance video published this weekend. According to Aaron, one woman and one man from the video have already questioned by the police, but a man wearing a Nike sweatshirt has not interrogated.
