The authority revealed that on Friday, a 49 years old man who is from California was arrested for purportedly killing a woman who is homeless while she was seeking to find a place to sleep.
A source has reported that the 49 years old man named Carlos Urias was accused of manslaughter in the death of Joanna Otero, who is 41-year-old.
As per the report, on Friday night, the criminal was charged into the Madera County Department of Corrections.
On Monday, the authority in Madera answered a call around 11:50 p.m., which informed a wounded person in the area of 4th and G Street.
They told that they noticed the victim with wounds that were suggesting an attack.
According to a source, later, the 41 years old homeless woman died because of dangerous wounds.
The victim was looking for a place to sleep while the attack took place, the authority told.
According to the information provided by the sources, the cop went through CCTV footage from businesses in the area of the attack to name Urias as a suspect.
A source reported that the criminal was found Friday when wandering in an area of Yosemite and B Street and detained for killing.
A representative for the Madera Police Department stated in a comment, “The capture of Carlos does not replace the loss of Joanne Otero, but we believe his detention starts the process of healing for the family and the community.”
