A carjacking incidence killed a teen girl and injured 3 siblings

Authorities reported that California based teen girl was murdered and her 8-year-old brother was wounded on Sunday in the theft of a car that was exposed while their parents bought food in a nearby restaurant.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Administration said 26-year-old Jose Aguilar jumped into the front seat of a truck with four brothers – 18, 13, 11 and 8 years old – in the back seats. When the car was hijacked, a family of six was stopped at La Mano Tortilleria in Pico Rivera.

sources reported that Aguilar screamed with the brothers, but they withdrew before they could react.

The children were thrown out of the car

Police lieutenant Sheriff Larry Hall said his 18-year-old daughter was thrown or jumped out of the truck while fighting with Aguilar. Her 11-year-old brother was reportedly hopped or kicked out of the truck shortly thereafter.

Hall claimed that the 11 and 18-year-olds were slightly injured.

2 other children are in speed track

Isabella Curtis, 13, and her 8-year-old brother were reportedly kept in the speed track. Police said the 8-year-old boy was severely wounded when he was “forcibly expelled” from the truck, which was traveling between 45 and 50 miles per hour.

He claimed that the truck was traveling between 55 and 60 miles per hour when Curtis was driven out at the intersection of Lindsey Street and Whittier Avenue. Los Angeles police said Curtis “collided with a fixed object” and died on the scene.

The suspect tried to rob the car

Apparently Aguilar broke the stolen truck on Rosemead Street and continued driving another three miles before stopping the truck in El Monte on Rosemead Boulevard.

Hall said Aguilar had tried to rob a car with a man’s wife and son. The man, who was purchasing fruit nearby, reportedly suffocated Aguilar and stopped him until the police arrived.

Charges for the crime

On May 15 Aguilar was arrested on charges of sabotage and possession of Dirk or dagger. He was martyred and released a few minutes later, according to the reports.

In Sunday’s incident, Aguilar was charged with murder, abducting, and theft of cars. Reports said he was hospitalized with minor injuries after the accident.
