Carnival Row: Season 2? What Can Happen Next? Here Are The Updates

The Amazon’s fantasy steampunk series Carnival Row will be back for season 2, and here is what we know so far about Philo and Vignette’s next episode. The Carnival Row, produced by Travis Beacham and René Echevarria, is set in a Victorian-style called The Burgue, where fae refugees fleeing from war are viewed with human hatred and suspicion.

Cara Delevingne, Vignette Stonemoss, a faerie who helped refugees flee Tirnanoc and ended up one day in a shipwreck along the Burgue River. Rycroft Philostrate, former Burgish army soldier who met and fell in love with Vignette in the battle, plays Orlando Bloom.

Now he is reunited with his old flame as an inspector for The Burgue’s constabulary in a city full of growing political tensions, where a mysterious series of violent assassinations took place.

What Can Happen In Season 2?

The main characteristics in season 1 of the Carnival Row were the Darkassher killings investigated by Philo and the mystery of Philo’s origins, which became evident when it emerged that Piety Breakspear was behind the killings. Chancellor Absalom Breakspear was the father of Philo. Philo, a half-fae, half-human, was torn between two worlds and forced to conceal his actual existence.

It is fair to say that the Carnival Row season 2 will focus on the battle for liberation against Jonah Breakspear and Sophie Longerbane’s powerful new alliance. Meanwhile, the star-crossed lovers, Imogen Spurnrose and Agreus Astrayon will have to deal with the repercussions of that and the current war against the Fae after a violent altercation with Imogen’s uncle, Esdr. It’s fascinating to see if the series retains its crime mystery elements amid this controversy and introduces a new case in season 2 for Philo and Vignette.

Renewal Status:

Amazon is heavily involved with Carnival Row, ready to step into and fill the void left by Game of Thrones, so it is no surprise that Season 2 Carnival Row was revealed on the 30th of August 2019, along with the release of the first season.

Release Date:

Although some Amazon series have a quicker turnaround, the Carnival Row is optimistic and full enough, so we probably have a similar wait for the second season for about 18 months to two years. So expect your screens to see Philo and Vignette in the summer of 2024.
