Ben Affleck Reveals The Actual Reason Why He Quits Batman After Justice League

Last week, the social media was timid while our first look at Robert Pattinson in the forthcoming movie The Batman was delivered online, but in a substitute world, we’d be getting a glance at Ben Affleck in his first standalone Batman film.

According to a source, after much persuading from Warner Bros., Affleck admitted in 2016 to direct The Batman from a script he was serving on with Geoff Johns.

The Movie Was Planned To Reflect Justice League

The movie was planned to reflect Justice League, which would be Affleck’s second Batman film following his introduction as an old version of the caped champion in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Affleck left the director’s chair in January 2017 but still (publicly) planned to feature in the movie, and by January 2019 it was approved: Affleck was moving from The Batman collectively.

What occurred? Why did Ben Affleck depart from The Batman? That’s surely a difficult question, as an answer to Affleck’s casting in Batman vs Superman in the first spot was met with hot takes aplenty.

According to the source, Reviews for Affleck’s appearance in the eventual movie were kind, but then the shooting of Justice League was something of a mixture—director Zack Snyder’s original vision was redone throughout shooting due to the lacklustre acknowledgement to Batman v Superman, and eventually, Joss Whedon was selected to write and direct important reshoots.

What was thought to be a successful DC superhero team-up movie was a natural catastrophe that was delivered to little advertising and a ho-hum answer when the neutered version of the movie certainly hit multiplexes.

That entire experience was surely seeking for Affleck, who you’ll remember at this point is an Oscar-winning script and producer with a strong directing profession of his own.

Affleck’s Experiences

However, at the time that The Batman was getting unitedly, Affleck’s individual life was undergoing, and in a straightforward new profile in a source, the star and director revealed about how he started taking gradually while his wedding was falling aside: ‘I drank relatively usually for a long time. What occurred was that I began drinking more and more when my wedding was falling apart. This was 2015, 2016. My drinking, of course, created more marital puzzles.’

Appearing the response to Batman v Superman, the “Sad Batman” meme from that movie’s press journey and the disturbed making of Justice League, a pal of Affleck’s warned against wading back into the DC waters with The Batman: ‘I explained somebody The Batman script,” Affleck revived. “They told, ‘I think the script is good. I also think you’ll drink yourself to death if you go through what you just went through one more time.’

Now, Affleck looks fresh and calm, and can next be viewed onscreen in the Warner Bros. show The Way Back about an uncertain basketball trainer striving with addiction and the end of his wedding.

Affleck states in the NY Times profile he got the experience of creating The Way Back purging, and it seems like it was expected a better use of his time than attempting to satisfy a swath of comic book fans with a new Batman film.
