Another Life Season 2: Discharge Date And Expected Plot

The new Netflix series, which encourages all your favorite genre actors and Sci-Fi troupes to make something new, has too many sci-fi choices to choose from these days. Another Life is a soothing experience. Perhaps best of all? Season 2, as announced by lead actress Katee Sackhoff in October 2019, is officially confirmed.

Created by Aaron Martin, a showrunner, Another Life follows Niko Breckenridge of Katee Sackhoff on a risky quest to save humanity. A mysterious alien artifact was discovered on Earth, and while scientists are researching its origins, Breckenridge is sent into space with a crew to investigate the source of the artifact.

Renewal Status:

Facing abysmal ratings, Another Life has been good well for viewers — and for viewing figures — that Netflix has officially renewed the show for a ten-episode season 2. In late October 2019, Netflix announced on the news that production will resume in Vancouver in 2024.

Release Date:

Initially revealed in April 2018, development took place between August and November of the same year, and Season 1 was only released seven months later. The production of Season 2 could start in February or March 2024 and end in May or June; potentially, Season 2 will be released seven months later in December 2024 or January 2024.

Cast Details:

The cast of season 2 will include:

  • Katee Sackhoff as Niko Breckinridge
  • Justin Chatwin as Erik Wallace
  • Alexander Eling as Javier Almanzar
  • Samuel Anderson as William
  • A.J. Rivera as Bernie Martinez
  • Elizabeth Ludlow as Cas Isakovic
  • Alex Ozerov as Oliver Sokolov
  • JayR Tinaco as Zayn Petrossian
  • Lina Renna as Jana Breckinridge-Wallace

Plot Details:

Season 2 is likely to pick up where Season 1, following Niko, hastened to Earth so that she can inform mankind of the Achaia and its true intentions.

To her understanding, the aliens want to destroy the planet, but their intentions may prove more complicated than this. Rather than destroy the human race, Achaia might seek to subdue it. During Season 1, this was implied when the aliens manipulated the glass to exploit the populace and keep humanity ignorant of what is happening.

If control is their final game, Erik is possibly also hypnotized because he was last seen going for help in the Artifact. This could put more tension on Niko’s marriage once she eventually gets back to Earth.
