Incident
A Wisconsin teacher is accused of having a physical relationship with her 16-year-old foster son after her husband is said to have secretly recorded their alleged sessions.
Stephanie Pudlowski, 38, was detained on May 15 after police say audio and video extracted in the home they shared in Oneida County showed she had a physical relationship with the boy.
Charges
She has since been charged with sensual assault of a child placed in relief care, physical intercourse with a child age 16 or older and causing psychic harm to a child.
Pudlowski claims that she met the boy while teaching at James Williams Middle School. Police say no intimate contact occurred on district property.
But after taking in the teenager last year, Pudlowski is said to have admitted having love with him.
The Rhinelander middle school employee has since resigned from her post as an eighth-grade English language arts teacher.
Recordings
Her husband, who has now filed for divorce, told police that he installed proper surveillance in their home after becoming suspicious.
He secretly recorded the boy’s bedroom in the basement.
That is said to have shown physical activity between the two, which police say has been going on for months.
She said they closed to the door to his bedroom as the teen was a loud gamer.
Pudlowski was released on a $5,000 signature bond after arriving in court Monday.
Her next appearance is scheduled for June 15.
